No classic French day begins without a perfectly baked croissant. That’s why we have crafted the ideal brunch menu. Covering the French classics together with our own British favourites, our menu is designed to help you sit back, relax and enjoy your day.

Our lunch and dinner menu focuses on a key selection of dishes that allows us to concentrate on sourcing the best ingredients and deliver a hearty, nutritious and satisfying dining experience.

As believers in casual, affordable dining we also offer a prie fixe two-course menu at just £12.50 per person.

We have created a concept and menu suitable for everyone including children, gluten intolerants, vegetarians and those seeking dairy-free. We want everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed and feel like they can call the French Kitchen their stove away from home.

OUR STORY

The French Kitchen is owned and operated by David Healey the owner of the successful French Cafe on Ritherdon Road. After many years serving loyal and fabulous customers, David decided to take the cafe to the next level, further implement his love of French food and mix these two elements to create the French Kithen.

This restaurant has been born out of love for simple yet classic and nutritious French cuisine. David takes great pride in what he does and his passion is evident when you enjoy his food…He can often be found in the kitchen, behind the bar or floating around the floor serving happy customers a hearty meal.
